                                                    Oh Christmas Tree
This is the top of a little christmas tree wallhanging. I went to a workshop over at Angie quilts in her very own quilt shop to learn how to make this paper pieced tree. It's the first time iv'e done paper piecing.  I didn't think I would like it, but I loved it.
I need to sandwich and quilt it then it will be already for christmas.

The finished quilt top,  its now sandwiched ready for quilting. It turned out to big quite a large quilt and so i'm NOT looking forward to quilting it. I am still very much a beginner when it come to quilting and so find it more than a little stressful.

Shirt Quilt

I took up quilting to help me through the loss of my husband. I decided I didn't want to give or throw away his shirts and so came up with the idea of turning them into a quilt.
As you can see from the finished quilt he liked similar colours, luckily for me they were quite girly pinks and purples.  The outer purple borders and backing were bought fabric.
It turned out to be a BIG quilt complete with some of the pockets. It was probably too large for a first project,  but with the help of Angie my quilting teacher it turned out very well.
(The photo doesn't do it justice, I must try and take another one.)
